Identify AOU or CINFO data files

To load either the AOU list or a CINFO list as J-Bird's master species list, you must provide J-Bird with data files. You can download the files manually, or J-Bird may be able to download them for you if your computer is attached to the internet and if the their web sites have not changed significantly since J-Bird was last released. The locations of the files in June 2005 was:

• AOU http://www.aou.org/checklist/ - download the Excel version of the checklist.
• CINFO http://membres.lycos.fr/listoiseauxmonde/foreword.htm - download the CINFO zipped .xls. There is no need to unpack the zip archive file.

If you have downloaded the file that you need, press the "Browse files ..." button to locate the file on your computer. To have J-Bird download the file, press "Attempt download".

After the input file has been located, press "Forward".

Proceed to finishing the build.
